We did a wedding celebration the weekend after labour day at the Opinicon and had Dorothy's booked for a big chunk of our party. We were blown away by all of the amenities in the space. From a sauna to a hot tub to a net for playing badminton/volleyball/soccer tennis, we couldn't have asked for a more fun spot to hang. The layout is great in general, where folks have their own space and then the Annex as a shared general kitchen area. Jules was really welcoming when we got in as well and made sure we were well situated.
Dorothy’s lodge was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were recommended them by our wedding venue- the Opinicon. Situated only 5 minutes away from the gorgeous historic restaurant and venue, it was the perfect location for us to host our friends coming in from Toronto for the wedding. Even prior to our stay they were gracious and responsive to all our inquiries. The lodge had everything we needed and more to have the most relaxing and fun weekend of our lives. The sauna, hot tub, campfire, and all the water toys were a hit. The cabin accommodations has everything we needed-comfortable beds, air conditioning, and all the kitchen supplies you could ever need. They even surprised us with a lovely card and prosecco to celebrate our wedding day. With the hosts nearby as well, they were present to help set up the campfire and sauna, and made everything so seamless. It was truly the best weekend of our lives, and not just because we got married but also had the best weekend accommodations you could ask for. We are overjoyed with everything and everyone said they wanted to keep coming back each year! I could not recommend Dorothy’s lodge enough, whether as a choice for wedding guests, a family reunion, or a fun getaway with friends. Thank you!Best,Sam
We are a large extended family who have met up at Dorothy’s lodge for 3 years in a row now. The place is perfectly set up for us with so much to do. The very large dock has paddle boards, kayaks and a paddle boat. There is a water trampoline that the kids and adults alike can’t get enough of. There is a huge lawn with a fire pit, a sauna, a hot tube and gazebo. The cabins are great for families with small children and and the lodge is kept very clean and is well equipped. The space is amazing. I can’t say enough about the owners, so accommodating and friendly. We will DEFINITELY be back next year!
We had a wonderful multi-family vacation at Dorothy's Lodge! The easy access to the lakes (we arrranged for the pontoon) was great for cruising, fishing and getting to the jumping cliffs. Very clean accomodations and plenty of space to spread out for games and BBQ. We have stayed at many Canadian vacation spots, and the deck here is as good as it gets with mulitple chairs and easy access to the water for our daily floats. The hosts were kind and very responsive.
This is the 3rd year in a row our extended family (mix of adults, kids, and dog) has enjoyed a vacation at Dorothy's Lodge. Every year there are more amenities added (we enjoyed the new hot tub, dart board, and water trampoline so much this year). Always so clean and has everything we need for large family suppers inside or out. A short walk to Brown's or the Opinicon to get ice cream (lovely on those hot days). Thank you again to these lovely hosts! We will see you again next year.
We had a girls weekend get away from May 08-10/22 --- WOW, what a great time we had --- Accommodations, owners - everything and everyone was amazing, great service, very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Beautiful place and great atmosphere. Did lots of walking on the Cataraqui Trail, great fishing, boating -- lots of things to do or if you want to just relax, great place for it. I would recommend Dorothy's Lodge. It's for everyone, families, singles or couples of any ages. Have Fun you won't regret it.
My family and I had an absolutely lovely time at Dorothy's Lodge! The cabins were great, the beach, dock, and swimming were wonderful, and the large kitchen in the Annex was very well set up for all our cooking. Robin was wonderful for the booking and communication, and the new owners were so friendly and personable, and helped make our stay so fantastic! Dorothy's Lodge is a gem, and a really fantastic spot for larger groups to gather and relax in the country.
Great stay. We were 13 people including kids adults and seniors, we all enjoyed staying at Dorothy. The cottages were well equipped and the sitting at the dock was great. We will definitely come back soon!!

We had another amazing week at Dorothy’s Lodge. The the past four years we have been making some amazing memories and are already looking forward to next year. So much space for everyone to be comfortable. We spend most of our time on the dock watching the kids swimming, fishing or kayaking. It really is a little piece of heaven.
