This cottage is located close to the popular tourist town of Portland Ontario, only minutes from Highway #15 mid-way between Toronto and Montreal and less than an hour from the US/Canada border making this a great place for families to congregate!
Please note that this cottage was just purchased in April 2019 and was extensively renovated just prior to the rental season this year including a new deck the full length of the cottage, new bunkie, and other cosmetic enhancements!
Included: 3 kayaks, 2 SUPs, a large dock to handle up to three boats, fire pit, full kitchen, full bathroom, large lake-facing deck, and open concept kitchen/living room w/ a wood stove. There are three bedrooms in the main cottage, two with queen beds and one with a set of bunk beds, a double futon in the living room plus a full bathroom. The bunkhouse has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds (single on top and double on bottom). ***The wifi is super fast now, up to 935 mbs!***
There are several golf courses within a 30 minute drive, plus shopping and restaurants, historic sites, and walking and biking trails.

The Big Rideau lake offers many miles of boating, fishing and water-sports, plus Murphy's Point Provincial Park, and towns with restaurants on the water including "The Galley" in Portland that is on the water in Portland Harbour. Walking distance to the village grocery, bank, liquor store and gas station.
The Rideau Canal is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and was rated #2 as an exceptional historic site destination by National Geographic.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, and lots more!
